Internship Details

What is the Booz Allen Summer Games?

The Summer Games is an intensive, 10-week paid internship program that simulates a real-world startup accelerator. Your mission? Develop breakthrough ideas and solutions for our clients’ most pressing problems.

As an intern, you’ll be paired with Booz Allen mentors and assigned to a cross-functional team where you’ll work together in a collaborative environment to bring your idea to life using techniques like design thinking, agile development, and rapid prototyping.

After 10 weeks, you’ll present your work to a judging panel of Booz Allen leadership. Only one team will win the coveted Summer Games Challenge Cup. Will you be part of our next winning team?

What kinds of projects will I work on?

The only limit is your imagination! We know good ideas can come from anyone—no matter their level of experience. Need some inspiration? Our Summer Games interns have tackled problems ranging from human trafficking to the opioid crisis and unmanned aerial vehicle safety.

Who can apply to the Summer Games?

Summer Games internships are open to college undergraduates of all levels, with preference given to rising juniors and seniors. You can learn more about the program, future opportunities, and how you can make an impact at Booz Allen by joining the University Talent Community.

The Summer Games program prepared me for my current role at Booz Allen by giving me a chance to network across a fantastic company, along with introducing me to the AI in DOD space.

So the Summer Games program prepared me for my current career by really enabling me to be bold and brave in my pursuit for knowledge and learning.

It's a culture of collaboration. Even though I am really early in my career starting off, my ideas and the things that I bring to the table are still prioritized by those who are many levels above me.

They really want to invest in you. There are many programs to grow yourself and grow your skills, and that's what really attracted me as to the culture of the company.

The Summer Games program prepared me for my current career at Booz Allen by showing me all the ways that data science and data analytics can be used to help mission cases and help our clients in the government space and show me that what I do and what I'm interested in is valuable and important.
