Leading cloud service providers will play a pivotal role in many federal agencies’ adoption of generative AI (GenAI). They can provide the scalability required to customize large language models (LLM) for specific applications and streamline integration with enterprise applications and data.
For example, Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) managed service, Amazon Bedrock, offers access to a growing number of leading foundation models from AI21 Labs, Anthropic, Cohere, Meta, Mistral AI, Stability AI, and Amazon via a single API. Amazon Bedrock enhances these models with integrated capabilities to develop, field, and manage customized GenAI services confidently, securely, and responsibly.
Booz Allen has long partnered with AWS on the federal adoption of cloud computing, and we are now working together to make AI more broadly accessible across the government. Amazon Bedrock helps that goal by lowering the threshold for evaluating models and enabling customization, such as fine-tuning, making it easier for us to address mission-specific use cases. It’s also focused on security and responsible use, such as incorporated support for developing guardrails based on specific policies.
As part of our ongoing support for our clients’ AI journey and our collaboration with AWS, we recently achieved the AWS Generative AI Competency for Government Mission. This recognition is based on an in-depth assessment of our demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success in implementing GenAI using AWS technology across federal environments.
This competency bolsters our position as a Premier AWS Partner with multiple earned competencies, including Government Consulting, Security Consulting, and Machine Learning. We were also proudly a finalist for the 2023 AWS U.S. Federal Partner of the Year. Our support for Amazon Bedrock and other AWS AI services also reinforces our role as the leading provider of AI services to the U.S. federal government, according to market intelligence firm GovWin from Deltek, with approximately 200 active engagements at our current count.
