Andy Parcel is a leader focused on application programming interfaces (API) and data engineering solutions in Booz Allen’s health business. A highly accomplished software engineer, Andy has more than 18 years of experience providing software solutions for mission-critical systems.
Based in our Melbourne, Florida, office, he supports our work at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as the chief engineer and architect of the Lighthouse API program. His expertise includes APIs, microservices, cloud architecture, and the successful application of DevSecOps principles.
Andy has a proven history of building and leading high-performing technical teams and delivering innovative, cost-saving software solutions. Under his leadership, the Lighthouse teams create and operate APIs that securely share individual veteran and VA data with approved third-party developers, enabling veterans to choose applications optimal for their needs. Lighthouse and its APIs have received multiple FedHealthIT Innovation Awards.
Andy joined Booz Allen when we acquired Liberty IT Solutions, where he had a major role in creating that company’s technical vision and strategy. Earlier, as chief software engineer with Harris Corporation, he led numerous undertakings, including a large telecommunications program for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Andy holds a B.S. in computer engineering from Purdue University.
