JD Dulny leads Booz Allen’s quantum information sciences practice and directs research and development (R&D) for our AI business. A physicist, JD focuses on applying next-generation technologies to achieve client mission success.
JD and the quantum information sciences team specialize in quantum computing, quantum-safe communications, and quantum sensing technologies. They offer high-impact strategic and technical insights into how our clients can use these new technologies to address frontier problems in post-quantum cryptography, simulation, optimization, and more. As one of the world’s largest groups in the field, the team has also authored peer-reviewed articles for scientific publications.
The large AI R&D team that JD leads focuses on the practical applications of novel solutions that have impact for both federal and commercial client AI missions.
JD earned his Ph.D. in computational physics from Penn State University, where he focused on large-scale Monte Carlo studies of complex surface phenomena. He holds a B.S. in physics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
