Ricky Reid is a defense market leader for Booz Allen. Ricky works with global defense and corporate development executives to execute the firm’s corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy. Specializing in post-merger integration, Ricky utilizes his 20 years of program management experience to ensure seamless transitions and deliver incomparable client value.
Ricky is passionate about digital transformation. Before his current role, he led large-scale efforts for the firm’s clients in the Air Force and National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Responsible for designing and developing solutions for software modernization projects, Ricky and his team leveraged their considerable expertise in open architectures, cloud services, Agile methodologies, DevSecOps, microservices, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and edge computing to help clients meet their mission-critical objectives.
Before joining Booz Allen, Ricky worked for MIL and Boeing, where he held software engineering positions supporting federal government clients in the defense and intelligence communities.
Outside of work, Ricky has been an active board member working with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together, Children’s Hospital, and the American Cancer Society to help achieve their missions through sustained growth.
Ricky holds an M.S. in information systems from the University of Maryland and a B.S. from The George Washington University. He is certified as a program management professional and is the recipient of the 2008 Black Engineer of the Year Award and 100 Black Men Community Service Award.
