Dr. Michelle Harper spearheads modern software development, data ops, and AI initiatives in Booz Allen’s global defense business. She and her team develop new software capabilities across multiple mission areas to deliver cutting-edge solutions for the nation’s warfighters.
Michelle leads the development of scalable solutions that integrate cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes-based platform environments, and infrastructure as code with enterprise management and monitoring. With a zero-trust cyber mindset, her team collaborates across enterprise capabilities to develop digital solutions that ensure robust cyber protection for key data supporting operational decisions.
In her role, Michelle is deeply involved in our U.S. Space Force enterprise integration work. This includes enhancing methodologies to leverage key space data and satellite information, thereby boosting joint tactical and operational capabilities among military services.
Before joining Booz Allen, Michelle was a software developer and architect at Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman, working on critical satellite ground systems. In the community, she is dedicated to encouraging youth in STEM, volunteering with the Project Scientist summer program and guest lecturing at the University of California, Irvine.
Michelle holds a B.A. in mathematics from Fort Hays State University, an M.S. in object-oriented programming from Regis University, and a doctorate in computer science from Colorado Technical University.
