Ron Bitten leads the classified space/counterspace business for Booz Allen’s aerospace team. He also serves as the aerospace deputy lead for classified business opportunities within the firm’s global defense organization. As a highly experienced subject matter expert in space control and operational intelligence, he builds strong client relationships across the Department of Defense and the intelligence community (IC).
Over his 17-year Booz Allen career, Ron has supported the creation of important new defense entities like the Space Protection Program, Space Security and Defense Program, and National Space Defense Center. He contributed to and led high-profile studies at the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense level to determine how the IC could improve support to the space and counterspace communities. He also functioned as an exercise control group subject matter expert for the Pacific, European, and Strategic Commands.
Prior to joining Booz Allen, Ron served in the Air Force for 21 years. During this time, he served as a Cold War-era Russian linguist and signals intelligence analyst, flew RIVET JOINT Airborne Reconnaissance during the First Gulf War and 1990s Balkan crisis, and supported U.S. Space Command planning of integrated joint special technical operations after 9/11. He served two tours with the National Security Agency and performed multiple roles within the National Reconnaissance Office.
Ron holds an M.S. in management from Colorado Technical University, a B.S. in organizational management from Colorado Christian University, an A.A.S. in business management from the University of Maryland, and an A.A.S. in communications technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
