Steve Escaravage is an executive vice president in Booz Allen's global defense business and a member of the firm's Leadership Team. He is the senior leader of our Digital Battlespace Platform, a business unit and multiyear strategic investment focused on the modernization of defense mission technologies.
Steve and his teams help clients identify mission gaps and design, deploy, and operate mission-tailored technology solutions. His portfolio includes programs spanning battle management, electronic warfare, sensemaking, and special missions. His active areas of investment include autonomy, expeditionary edge mission technologies, tactical edge mission technologies, and mission partner solutions.
Over the course of his career, Steve has served in delivery oversight and leadership roles in Booz Allen’s chief technology office and defense, health, energy, commercial, and international businesses. In his previous role, Steve led the firm’s AI business. Under his leadership, the firm was recognized as the largest provider of AI services to the U.S. federal government. Earlier, Steve served as the functional leader for our analytics practice, leading adoption initiatives for civilian health agencies, financial institutions, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and oil and gas companies.
Beyond customer delivery, Steve is an advocate for the accelerated adoption of emerging technologies. He is a commissioner on the Atlantic Council Commission on Software-Defined Warfare and director on the Kumanu Board of Directors. An active community volunteer, Steve serves as secretary and vice chair of the Special Olympics Virginia Board of Directors. He is a three-time Wash100 award winner for impact in the government contracting sector.
Steve is a mathematician by training. He holds an M.S. in operations research from George Mason University and a B.A. in mathematics from Rutgers University.
